Science Olympiad

Dad-spies

We we had a blast supervising the "Write-it, Do-it" event this weekend at MTSU for the 2024 Science Olympiad.

The objective was for kids to build an object with only a description, written by their team mate, who has had 5 minutes to view the object.

This was a great practice in Information Security and a reminder that even benign actors, such as parents and children, will actively exploit systems for self interest if able, it's human nature. We also saw lots of social engineering for scores and build data. Dads are SUPER friendly and love to coax information out of the unwary. A professional must remain vigilant!

We had a great time and look forward to participating in future events.

Shout out to Dr. Echelle Eady and her son Ross for making this event even more fun!
